BIRTH-CENTERED SERVICES
As a full-time midwifery student, I am currently not able to offer on-call support. If you are seeking someone to be physically present at your labor and birth, I highly recommend you reach out to my former birth partner Blue Andrew of Brooklyn Birth. Otherwise, I do currently offer prenatal visits (in-person or virtual), which can involve any of the following according to your particular needs/desires:
Education to resource you with knowledge about physiological changes you can anticipate in pregnancy and birth
Demystification of medical terminology and help understanding complications of pregnancy and birth
Guided prompts to reflect on your preferences in labor
Clarification of risks and benefits to any medical procedures and interventions
Support with making choices around how you would ideally like to give birth, feed your baby, set up sleeping arrangements, etc.
Holding space to remember and reflect on past birthing experiences, personal or inter-generational
Care coordination for a well-supported postpartum
Referral to midwives, mental health care, acupuncture, chiropractic, somatic experiencing, lactation care, postpartum doulas, and various other modalities that might support your transition through pregnancy and postpartum
Is paying for doula support not financially feasible? I provide peer support and mentorship to newer and greener doulas who are working toward certification. If paying doula fees is outside your means, reach out through my contact form and I will do my best to connect you with someone who can offer reduced fee or volunteer doula support.
